Dubai Police Warns of Fake Accounts Selling Global Village VIP Packages

Dubai Police has warned residents about fake online accounts and social media pages advertising Global Village VIP packages at prices that are not genuine. The alert follows the announcement of the 31st season package rollout, which police said has already attracted fraudulent activity aimed at taking money and personal data from buyers. Authorities said the scam typically appears around the start of Global Village’s season, when misleading accounts and copied webpages are created to resemble official platforms. In some cases, users are persuaded to make fake purchases or to share personal details after being led to believe the sellers are authorised.

Global Village’s VIP packages for the 31st season are being offered in phases through the Coca-Cola Arena website, according to the announcement referenced by police. The pre-purchase period is listed for 21 to 25 September, with an additional fee applying during that stage, while the general sale phase is due to open on 26 September. Dubai Police said that only the official and approved sales channels should be used and that links or accounts from unknown sources should be avoided.

The police urged the public not to be drawn in by offers that look unusually cheap or by pages that appear to copy official branding. Community members were also told to report suspicious links, fake accounts and attempted fraud through the e-Crime platform or by calling 901. The force said reporting helps reduce cybercrime and supports wider public protection.
