Dubai International Airport is approaching the final months of 2026 with traffic close to its usual high levels, but a sizeable group of foreign airlines still has not restored services to the emirate. Emirates and flydubai are continuing with broad schedules, yet many international carriers have kept Dubai routes suspended or pushed back their return dates, with some services set to remain unavailable into 2027. The latest updates show a mixed picture: a few airlines are preparing to come back before the end of November, while others have no confirmed restart beyond the winter season.
Among the carriers extending cancellations, Air Canada has suspended all flights to Dubai until the end of March 2027, while Cathay Pacific has cancelled its Dubai routes through January 31, 2027. KLM has said it will stay away from Dubai until after March 27, 2027, and United Airlines expects to resume its nonstop Newark-Dubai service in March 2027. Finnair has also extended its absence, keeping its Helsinki-Dubai route on hold for the winter 2026/27 period, and Virgin Atlantic says its seasonal London Heathrow-Dubai service remains suspended, with a return not expected before 2027 at the earliest.
Other airlines have given earlier restart windows. Air France has extended its Paris-Charles de Gaulle-Dubai suspension to October 31, 2026, after briefly resuming the route earlier this year before pausing again. British Airways has paused its Dubai flights until November 3, 2026, while Lufthansa and SWISS are both targeting a return after November 25, 2026. Eurowings also expects to resume after that date. Austrian Airlines is planning to restart Vienna-Dubai operations on December 12, 2026 with five weekly flights. Singapore Airlines has cancelled SQ494 and SQ495 until December 1, 2026, and Luxair now says Dubai service should restart in February 2027 at the earliest, while Wizz Air has set March 28, 2027 as its expected return date. Korean Air has suspended its Incheon-Dubai route until further notice, saying a decision on resumption will come later after a review of Dubai Airport normalisation and market demand recovery.
